Make sure your children have something to do while camping. Take along items to use while you are camping in the wild. You can entertain yourself and your family by fishing, playing card games or setting up a scavenger hunt. Take as many entertainment items as you can fit if you are taking kids on your trip.

If you’re going to camp somewhere where dangerous animals reside, you need to make sure you’re very careful about your food. Take safety precautions, such as wrapping your items in many layers for protection. This helps lower your attack risk.

Camping’s main idea is to generally live off of the land, however, you still need to be well-prepared. Though a sleeping bag is great, extra blankets can also be useful. This is useful for nights where the temperature gets too cold or as extra padding when sleeping on hard ground.
